US 빌보드 앨범 차트 4위를 기록하며 북미 록씬을 뒤흔든 덴마크 출신의 록밴드 Volbeat의 대표작 Seal The Deal & Let’s Boogie (2016)

헤비메틀과 엘비스 프레슬리, 자니 캐쉬 등의 클래식 로큰롤/로커빌리를 결합한 독특한 음악을 선보이며 현재 전세계적으로 선풍적인 인기를 끌고 있는 덴마크 코펜하겐 출신의 헤비메틀 밴드 Volbeat가 2016년 새로운 앨범 Seal The Deal & Let’s Boogie을 발표했다.
보컬과 기타, 메인 송라이터로서의 역할까지 하고 있는 Michael Poulsen을 중심으로 결성된 Volbeat는 처음에는 덴마크를 중심으로 인기를 확보하며 차츰 유럽 각지를 넘어 현재는 북미를 비롯한 전세계로 인기를 넓혀가며 승승 장구하고 있다.
실제로 이번에 발매된 본 앨범 Seal The Deal & Let’s Boogie는 US 앨범 차트 Top 10안에 처음으로 랭크(9위)되었던 전작 Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies (2013)를 뛰어넘어 4위에 오르는 이변을 만들어냈다. 첫 싱글은 "The Devil's Bleeding Crown"로 결정되어 발매 2달여전인 4월 초에 공개되고, 얼마뒤 "For Evigt"도 싱글 커트되며 기대감을 모았다.
한편 지난 앨범까지는 Volbeat는 4인조 체제로 활동했으나 2015년 11월에 Anders Kjølholm가 탈퇴함에 따라, 기타리스트인 Rob Caggiano가 베이스까지 담당하며 본 앨범은 3인조로 레코딩하게 되었다.
