브릿팝록씬의 전설, 스톤 로지즈 재결성 이후 최초의 공식 다큐멘터리 The Stone Roses: Made of Stone - Collector's Edition [2DVD]

스톤 로지즈(The Roses)는 1980년대말 혜성처럼 등장해 데뷔 앨범 한장으로 영국 록씬에 거대하고 새로운 바람을 일으키며, 대표적인 그들의 추종자인 오아시스를 비롯 1990년대 브릿팝 씬의 형성에 절대적인 영향을 준 전설적인 밴드이다. 2집 발표 후 주축 멤버간의 갈등으로 인해 1990년대 중반 해체됐음에도 불구하고, 그간 스톤 로지즈의 대한 관심은 끊이지 않았으며 2000년대 중반 이후 데뷔 앨범 20주년 발매를 기점으로 이들의 재결합에 대한 기대를 커져갔다. 드디어 밴드는 해체 후 16년만인 2012년 역사적 오리지널 멤버 재결합을 선언했다. 본 영화 The Stone Roses: Made of Stone는 이를 기념해 제작된 다큐멘터리로 Shane Meadows가 감독을 맡았으며, 영화는 재결합부터 이후 고향 맨체스터의 히튼 파크에서의 공연을 비롯해 유럽 투어의 준비 과정 및 투어 중 다양한 영상을 생생하게 기록하고 있다. 또한 본 컬렉터스 에디션에는 1990년 Spike Island의 희귀 영상과 감독과 제작자의 오디오 코멘터리, 팬들과의 인터뷰, 비하인드 영상 등 다양한 부가 콘텐츠가 수록된 보너스 DVD가 제공된다. 2013년 6월 영국에서 극장 개봉되어 팬들과 평단 모두에게 호평을 받았다. 스톤 로지즈의 팬들이라면 놓치지 말아야할 영상이다.
