스웨덴 출신의 세계적인 개러지 펑크록 밴드 The Hives의 2012년 신보 Lex Hives!

폭발적인 에너지와 발랄함을 트레이드마크로 국내에도 많은 팬들을 보유하고 있는 인기 개러지록 밴드 Hives의 통산 5집으로 전작 The Black and White Album(2007) 이후 무려 5년만의 신작이다. The Hives는 스웨덴 출신의 록 밴드로, 1993년에 결성되었다. 그들은 활기차고 에너지 넘치는 라이브 공연과 특유의 스타일리시한 의상으로 유명하다. 그들은 1960년대와 1970년대의 가레지 록과 펑크 록의 영향을 받아 현대적이고 직설적인 사운드를 만들어낸다. 턱시도 재킷과 넥타이, 안경 등은 그들의 음악과 이미지를 대변하는 요소 중 하나로 알려져 있다. 그들은 "Hate to Say I Told You So", "Main Offender", "Walk Idiot Walk", "Tick Tick Boom" 등의 히트곡을 발표하여 지속적인 성공을 거두었다. The Hives는 역동적이고 화끈한 경험을 전달하며, 자신들의 음악을 통해 청중과 소통하고자 하는 메시지를 담고 있다. 소니 뮤직으로 이적 후 발표한 첫 앨범이기도 한 이번 작품 Lex Hives는 전곡의 작곡은 물론, 밴드로서는 최초로 앨범 전체를 단독 프로듀싱했다. 앨범 발매를 앞두고 4월에 먼저 Go Right Ahead가 첫 싱글로 선정되었으며, 뒤이어 "Wait a Minute"가 두번째 싱글로 커트되었다.
