고딕 록의 아이콘, 큐어(The Cure)의 초기 명반 중 하나 Faith [2CD Deluxe Edition] (1981년 作)

1981년 4월에 발매된 큐어의 세번째 정규 앨범으로 전작 Seventeen Seconds 이후 거의 정확히 1년만에 발표되었다. 평단과 음악 마니아들을 중심으로 호평을 받은 이전 두 작품에 이어, 이번 3집 또한 뛰어난 퀄리티를 유지하며 호평을 받았다. 특히 본 앨범은 거칠고 과격했던 펑크록의 시대가 저물기 시작한 1970년대말-80년대초 영국을 중심으로 급속히 대안처럼 발전하기 시작한 포스트 펑크 사운드에 여전히 밴드의 고유한 트레이드마크인 고스록 분위기가 결합되며 초기 큐어의 시그니쳐 사운드를 보여주는 작품으로 평가된다. 당시 앨범 작업은 전작 Seventeen Seconds에서도 함께 했던 마이크 헷지스와 밴드가 함께 프로듀싱을 담당했으나, 메튜 하틀리(Matthieu Hartley, 키보드)가 탈퇴하고 보컬, 기타, 키보드 및 작곡 등을 담당했던 리더 로버트 스미스를 중심으로, 전작부터 함께 한 롤 톨허스트(드럼), 그리고 본 앨범부터 정식으로 가입한 사이먼 갤럽 (베이스) 등 3인조인 상태로 레코딩되었다. 한편 본 디럭스 에디션은 오리지널 앨범의 리마스터링(CD1)과 함께 각종 데모와 스튜디오 아웃테이크 등 다수의 희귀 트랙들이 수록된 보너스 디스크 (CD2)가 제공된다.
