플라시보의 2009년 최신작, Battle For The Sun (Limited Deluxe Edition Boxset)

브라이언 몰코를 중심으로 결성된 플라시보는 1996년 셀프타이틀 앨범으로 데뷔 후 지난 14여년간 꾸준히 앨범을 발표했으며, 대부분 수작 이상의 뛰어난 퀄리티를 보여주었다. 전작 "Meds"(2006) 역시 호평을 받았는데, 3년만에 발표되는 본 신작은 이미 팬들로부터 플라시보의 역대 앨범 중에서도 최상위에 랭크될만큼 좋은 호평을 받고 있다. 이미 싱글로 많은 사랑을 받은 For What It's Worth과 모 광고에도 사용된 Ashtray Heart, Bright Lights 등을 포함해 총 15곡이 수록되어 있으며, 플라시보 특유의 글램적인 매력과 대부분의 브릿팝 밴드들과는 뜨거운 에너지가 느껴지며, 더불어 이제는 베테랑다운 완급조절 능력 역시 뛰어난 수작이다.
