스래시 메틀계의 숨겨진 명반 Handle With Care (1989년 作)

스래시 메틀팬들 사이에서 더욱 유명한 뉴욕 출신의 스래시 메틀 밴드 뉴클리어 어쏠트(Nuclear Assault)의 3집 앨범으로 스래시 메틀계의 숨겨진 명반으로 평가받는 작품이다. 뉴클리어 어쏠트는 앤스랙스의 베이시스트였던 댄 릴커(Dan Lilker)가 1984년 밴드를 탈퇴해 결성했으며, 1986년 정규 데뷔 앨범 "Game Over", 2집 "Survive"(1988)를 발매하며 스래시 메틀팬의 주목을 받기 시작했다.
특히 1989년에 발표된 세번째 정규 앨범인 "Handle With Care"는 이들의 정규 앨범 가운데 음악적으로 높은 평가를 받는 것은 물론, 빌보드 앨범 차트에 오를 정도로 대중적으로 가장 많은 판매량을 기록 중인 대표 작품이다. 과거에도 국내에서 이들의 앨범은 웬만한 유명 스래시 메틀 밴드들의 앨범보다 매우 구하기 어려운 앨범 중 하나였으나 골수팬들 사이에서는 꽤나 유명했다. 한편, 오리지널 앨범 발매 22년만에 Century Media에서 공개되는 이번 리마스터 리이슈 확장반에는 1989년 런던의 해머스미스 오덴에서의 라이브 공연 6곡의 음원이 보너스 트랙까지 포함되어 더욱 소장 가치를 높여준다.

2008 digitally remastered and expanded edition of this album from the New York-based Thrash metallers housed in a 'glow in the dark' o-card. Originally released in 1989, Handle With Care includes six live bonus tracks. Century Media.
