80년대의 전설 The Smiths의 해체 이후, 멤벌 가운데 왕성한 활동을 하며 Viva Hate, Your Arsenal, Vauxhall and I 등의 명반을 내놓고 최근까지도 꾸준히 좋은 앨범을 발표하며 활발히 활동 중에 있다.
