스웨이드의 오리지널 멤버, 브렛 앤더슨과 버나드 버틀러가 만나 12년만에 발표한 신작 Here Come The Tears (2005)

The Tears는 1990년대 브리티쉬록의 황금기를 이끈 선구적 존재이자 전설 스웨이드의 오리지널 멤버인 기타리스트 Bernard Butler와 현재까지 스웨이드를 이끌고 있는 프론트맨 Brett Anderson가 만나 결성한 새로운 프로젝트 밴드다. 브리티쉬팝의 걸작으로 손꼽히는 초기 Suede의 앨범에서 음악과 스타일의 키를 쥐고 있던 이들의 만남은 그만큼 팬들과 평단의 큰 기대를 모으기 충분했다. 이들이 중심이 되어 제작한 최초이자 유일한 정규 앨범 Here Come The Tears는 Bertler가 2집 Dog Man Star (1993년작)로 활동 중에 밴드를 떠난 이후 10여년만에 처음으로 이루어낸 소중한 결과물이다. 앨범의 수록곡들의 가사는 Anderson이 주로 담당했으며 Butler는 작곡과 함께 직접 앨범 프로듀싱까지 담당했다. 밴드는 비롯 2006년에 공식적으로 활동을 중지하고 해체하며 서로 솔로 앨범과 앨범 제작자 등으로 활동하며 각자의 길을 다시 걷고 있지만 이들의 음악은 여전히 독창적이며 아름답다.
