1983년 결성되어 지난 20여년간 유니크한 음악 세계를 구축, 시대를 앞서간 다수의 명반을 발표하며 이제는 레전드의 경지에 오른 아메리카 인디록 밴드 Flaming Lips이 2002년에 발매한 통산 10번째 정규 앨범이다. 극찬을 받은 전작 The Soft Bulletin 이후 3년만의 새 스튜디오 앨범으로 전작에 버금가는 반응을 얻었다. 실험적인 얼터너티브록을 기반으로 싸이키델릭, 일렉트로닉 음악의 영향이 느껴지는 걸작으로 팬들과 평단의 찬사를 받았으며, 대중적으로도 "Do You Realize??", "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, Pt. 1" 등의 싱글 히트곡과 앨범이 골드를 기록했다. 결성 20년을 맞이해도 여전히 발전해 나가는 플레이밍 립스의 전성기를 이어가는 수작이다.
