상큼한 스웨디쉬 팝록 밴드 카디건스를 세계에 알린 명반 Life (1995년 作)

본 앨범은 그들의 이름을 세계적으로 알린 출세작이자 다음 앨범인 3집 First Band on the Moon과 함께 음악성, 대중성 양면에서 커리어의 정점에 있던 작품으로 인정받는다. 그들의 대표곡들이라 할 수 있는 Carnival과 Sick And Tired를 비롯해 데뷔 앨범에 수록되어 히트를 기록했다가 새롭게 레코딩 되어 재수록된 Rise and Shine, Hey! Get Out of My Way 등 4곡이 싱글 커트될 정도로 좋은 반응을 얻었다. 그들과는 정반대의 이미지인 Black Sabbath의 고전을 커버한 Sabbath bloody Sabbath도 재미있다. 앨범 전체가 Nina Persson의 매력이 물씬 풍기는 앨범의 커버처럼 복고적인 느낌과 세련되게 다듬어진 깔끔한 사운드가 공유하는 스타일로 유행과 관계없이 언제들어도 상쾌한 팝록 앨범이다. 참고로 원래 스웨덴 등에서 발매된 초판의 경우는 총 11트랙이 수록되어 있으나 (수로곡 및 트랙 순서도 상당히 다름), 이들이 인기를 얻자 Sick & Tired, After all, Sabbath bloody Sabbath이 수록해 유럽 및 다수 국가들을 위한 인터네셔널 13 트랙 버전이 발매되었다.
