플라시보 초기의 강렬한 매력을 느낄 수 있는 락킹한 넘버 Bruise Pristine은 밴드 최초의 오피셜 싱글로 원래 데뷔 앨범 발매 2년전인 1995년에 발표되었으나 당시 차트에는 오르지했다. 하지만 이후 1997년에 2장의 CD로 재발매, UK 싱글 차트 14위까지 오르며 사랑을 받았고 초기 라이브에서도 자주 연주되던 곡이기도 하다. 본 싱글에는 라디오 에디트 버젼과 리믹스 버젼, 그리고 미발표곡 Then the Clouds Will Open for Me가 수록되어 있다. 플라시보의 색깔을 느낄 수 있는 감각적인 뮤직비디오도 상당히 인상적이다.
