존 레넌의 사후에 발표되었던 베스트 앨범 The John Lennon Collection (1982) 이후 15년만에 새롭게 발표된 오피셜 베스트 앨범. 1장의 CD를 가득 채우는 약 78분의 러닝 타임에 총 20곡이 수록된 본 앨범이 기존의 베스트 앨범과의 비교해 볼 때 지니는 중요한 차이점은 역시 존 레넌이 사망 직전까지 레코딩했던 작품인 Milk and Honey(1984년작)의 곡들(Borrowed Time과 Nobody Told Me)이 포함됐는지 여부라고 할 수 있다. 또한 그의 유명 곡 중 하나임에도 빠졌던 Mother와 Working Class Hero도 포함되어 있다. 영국에서는 97년, 미국에서는 98년에 발매가 됐는데 베스트 앨범임에도 불구하고 앨범 차트 3위와 더블 플래티넘을 기록하는 등 현재까지도 그를 대표하는 베스트 앨범으로 사랑받고 있다.
