레전드 이기 팝과 그를 존경하는 쟁쟁한 후배 뮤지션들이 의기투합해 탄생시킨 신작 Post Pop Depression! (2016년 作)

펑크의 시작을 알린 이기 팝의 2016년 최근작. 전작 Apres 이후 4년만의 신작으로 초호화 멤버들로 구성되어 화제가 된 작품이다. 앨범에서는 90년대 이후 스토너록의 대표적 주자로 활동해 온 Kyuss와 Queens Of The Stone Age의 조쉬 홈즈가 프로듀서 및 작곡, 보컬/기타/베이스/건반 등 각종 파트에 적극 참여했으며, 역시 QOTSA의 기타리스트인 딘 페르티타, 그리고 현재 영국 최고의 개러지 록밴드 중 하나인 악틱 멍키스의 드러머 맷 헬더스도 힘을 모았다. 가장 최근에 발표했던 2장의 정규 앨범 Préliminaires(2009)와 Après (2012)가 기존 이기팝 스타일의 펑크록에서 벗어나 재즈, 블루스 등의 영향을 받았으나 이번 앨범은 출중한 후배 아티스트들과 함께 힘을 모아 새로운 에너지를 받아 돌아갔다는 평을 받고 있다.
앨범은 이기 팝이 조쉬 옴므에게 제안하고 이에 대해 아이디어를 공유하고 논의하며 발전해 나갔다. 레코딩은 2015년 1월부터 3월까지 캘리포니아 조슈아 트리와 버뱅크에서 이루어졌으며, 조쉬 이외에도 같은 QOTSA의 멤버인 딘 페르티타와 다소 의외의 멤버인 맷 헬더스(악틱 멍키스의 드러머)가 참여했다. 앨범의 첫 싱글은 "Gardenia"로 결정되었으며, 팬들과 평단 모두에서 호평을 받았다. 특히 영국의 모조, NME와 같은 전문 매체들은 본 앨범을 2015년 최고의 앨범 상위권에 랭크시키기도 했다.
