감마 레이 최고의 작품 중 하나로 손꼽히는 걸작이자 랄프 쉬퍼스와의 마지막 정규 앨범 Insanity And Genius (결성 25주년 기념 New 리마스터 확장판)

1993년에 발표된 Gamma Ray의 세번째 스튜디오 앨범으로 초대 보컬 랄프 쉬퍼스가 함께 한 마지막 작품이다. 팬들사이에서나 평론가들 사이에서는 Gamma Ray의 오랜 커리어 중에서도 음악적, 대중적 양측에서 이론의 여지가 없는 베스트 앨범 중 하나다.
2집 Sigh No More에서 보여준 변화로 인해 일어난 다소의 논란을 일축이라도 하려는 듯이 감마레이는 데뷔 앨범의 특유의 파워풀함과 스피드에 정교해진 사운드를 한단계 발전시켰다는 평을 받는다. 아쉽게도 이 앨범 이후 보컬 랄프 쉬퍼스가 탈퇴했지만, 그는 또다른 멋진 밴드 프라이멀 피어(Primal Fear)를 만들며 팬들을 실망시키지 않았다.
한편, 밴드의 결성부터 작곡, 기타, 프로듀싱에 이어 헬로윈 초창기에 이후 오랜만에 리드 보컬까지 겸한 카이 한센은 밴드의 완전한 주도권을 쥐게 된다. 이후 Gamma Ray는 Helloween과 건전한 경쟁관계로 발전해 나아갔고, 90년대 전성기를 맞이한 멜로딕 메틀씬에서 양대산맥으로 군림하며 현재까지도 활발하게 활동중이다. 앨범에서는 "Tribute To The Past", "No Return", "Gamma Ray", 타이틀곡 "Insanity & Genius" 등이 특히 주목할만하다.
