전세계적으로 4,000만장(미국내 1,900만장) 이상의 천문학적 판매고를 갖고 있는 명반 Rumours를 비롯해, 미국내 1,300만장 이상의 판매고를 기록한 셀프타이틀 앨범 Fleetwood Mac, 그외 Tusk, Tango In The Night, Mirage, The Dance 등 수많은 멀티플래티넘 명반들을 쏟아내며 70-80년대를 주름잡은 그야말로 전설 자체인 팝록 그룹 Fleetwood Mac.
1968년 데뷔 앨범 Fleetwood Mac를 발표하며 평단의 주목을 받았고, 70년대부터는 대중적으로도 성공가도를 달리기 시작했다. Fleetwood Mac은 당시 초기 밴드를 이끌던 피터 그린, 제레미 스펜서, 믹 플릿우드부터 전성기 이후 현재까지 밴드의 상징인 스티비 닉스, 존 맥비, 크리스틴 맥비, 밥 웰치, 린지 버킹험 등 여러명의 실력파 뮤지션들을 배출했다. 이들은 상업적으로도 전성기를 구가하던 70년대부터 80년대 후반까지 다양한 스타일의 음악을 시도하면서도 평단은 물론 대중에게도 오랫동안 사랑받고 있는 드문 그룹이다. 본 앨범은 그들의 역사를 집대성한 더블 베스트 앨범으로 그들의 명곡 21곡이 수록되어 있다.
