충격적인 데뷔 앨범 Silent Alarm이 NME의 'Album of the Year'를 수상하는 등, 2005년 최고의 성공을 거둔 UK 신인 록 밴드 블록 파티(Bloc Party)의 대망의 세컨드 앨범 BA Weekend in the City.

이번 앨범의 프로듀서로 U2, Snow Patrol, Editors, Kasabian 등을 다룬 2000년대 최고의 프로듀서 중 한명으로 손꼽히는 Jacknife Lee를 기용했다. 데뷔작의 포스트 펑크적인 이미지로부터 보다 야심찬 시도가 가득한 모던한 포스트록 사운드로 진화시킨 수작으로 평가 받는다.

한편 2007년 11월 새롭게 발매된 본 디럭스 에디션(WEBB120CDX2)은 아웃케이스 포함된 4단 디지팩의 고급스러운 패키징으로 제작되어 있으며 최신 싱글로 커트되어 히트한 Flux가 추가되어 있다. 또한 DVD에는 2007년 레딩 페스티벌에서 이들의 라이브 실황 11곡과 함께 본 앨범에서 싱글 커트된 4곡의 공식 뮤직 비디오가 수록되어 있다.
