아메리칸 인디록 밴드 Ben Folds Five의 프론트맨이자 다재다능한 재주꾼 싱어송라이터 Ben Folds, 그의 두번째 솔로 앨범 Songs For Silverman (2005년 作)

벤 폴즈 파이브의 리더로서 밴드가 휴식기를 갖으며 솔로로 데뷔해 성공적인 시기를 보내고 있는 벤 폴즈가 Rockin' the Suburbs (2001) 이후 4년만에 두번째 정규 앨범 Songs For Silverman을 발표했다. 빌보드 앨범 차트 13위로 데뷔한 이번 작품 역시 그가 전곡을 작곡했으며, 기존의 록밴드들과 달리 기타를 빼고 대신 그의 트레이드 마크라할 수 있는 피아노를 선택해 피아노+베이스+드럼만을 이용한 사운드를 들려준다. 첫 싱글은 "Landed"로 선정되어 이어서 "Jesusland"와 2003년 요절한 천재 싱어송라이터 엘리엇 스미스를 추모하는 곡 "Late"가 싱글 커트되었다. 한편, 스페셜 디럭스 에디션은 보너스 DVD가 추가된 패키지에 40p에 이르는 책자 형태로 제작되어 소장가치를 높여준다. DVD에는 벤 폴즈와의 인터뷰, 라이브 퍼포먼스, 비하인드씬 푸티지 등을 포함한 앨범 제작 과정이 담긴 45분간의 다큐멘터리가 수록되어 있다.
