Sister 앨범 발매 후 메이저급 아티스트로 발돋움하던 Sonic Youth의 1987년 시카고 메트로에서의 라이브 실황을 담은 앨범

1981년 뉴욕에서 결성되어 언더그라운드를 중심으로 80년대초부터 활동하며 그런지록의 원조 또는 프로토타입으로 평가 받는 전설 소닉 유스가 명반 Sister를 발매 활동 시절인 1987년 10월 14일 시카고에서 있었던 공연을 담은 앨범이다. 원래는 1991년에 LP로만 발매되었다가 1998년에 리마스터되어 CD로 첫 발매가 되었다. 시기적인 특성상 "Schizophrenia", "(I Got A) Catholic Block", "Beauty Lies in the Eye", "Stereo Sanctity", "Pipeline/Kill Time", "Pacific Coast Highway", "Kotton Krown", "White Kross", "Tuff Gnarl" 등 Sister의 수록곡들이 거의 모두 수록되어 있다. 나머지 곡들인 "Tom Violence", "Brother James", "Death Valley '69", "Expressway To Yr. Skull"은 역시 Sister 이전에 발표했던 소닉 유스의 초기 대표곡들이라 할 수 있다. 특이하게 앙코르로 펑크록의 전설 라몬즈(Ramones)의 곡들이 4곡 연주되어 있다.

Hold That Tiger is a live album by American alternative rock band Sonic Youth, recorded at the Cabaret Metro in Chicago on October 14, 1987. It featured songs from the album Sister. It was released on vinyl in 1991, with a CD release in 1998.
