90년대 후반 영국을 대표하는 얼터너티브 록 밴드 스테레오포닉스가 97년 발표한 대망의 데뷔앨범, Word Gets Around (Super Deluxe Edition)

스테레오포닉스는 매닉 스트릿 프리쳐스를 배출한 웨일즈 출신의 3인조로 기타와 보컬, 대부분의 송라이팅까지 담당하고 있는 재주꾼 켈리 존스를 중심으로 결성되어, 기존의 브릿팝보다는 좀더 정통록에 가까운 사운드를 들려주며 데뷔 초기 "블루지한 매닉스"라는 평가를 받기도 했다. 이들은 데뷔시절부터 신인으로서 오아시스 이후 가장 뛰어난 판매고를 기록하였으며, 결국 그해 브릿 어워드 최우수 신인상을 수상하였다. 이후에도 스테레오포닉스는 소포모어징크스 따위는 날려버리고 현재까지 10여년 이상 활동하며, 2집 이후 모든 정규 앨범이 1위를 차지하는 등 가장 성공적인 롱런을 하고 있는 밴드로 사랑받고 있다. 본 데뷔 앨범 Word Gets Around는 이들의 앨범 중 UK차트 6위까지 오르며 유일하게 1위를 못한 앨범이지만, Local Boy in the Photograph, Traffic, Looks Like Chaplin 등 여러 싱글이 발표되며 사랑받는 등 현재까지도 스테디셀러로 그들의 대표앨범으로서 가장 높은 판매고를 기록한 앨범 중 하나다.

Super Deluxe Edition Boxset
- 3 disc set comes in luxurious boxset packaging complete with artcards and a replica of Kelly Jones notebook for the album. The bonus material compiled by the band includes a disc of b-sides from the singles from the album and a third disc of live and session material including 8 previously unreleased tracks (3.1 to 3.8).
- Tracks 3.10 and 3.11 are listed as Ltd Edition Australian Bonus tracks. whilst they did appear on the Australian bonus disc of the original album, they were also previously released on the UK single "A Thousand Trees - Acoustic EP". Track 3.5 is listed as Not Up To You (Live At Newcastle University) but the track actually begins with a snippet of the song "Home To Me"
