전작 BURN을 잇는 데이빗 커버데일, 글렌 휴즈와의 환상적인 하드록 앨범 Stormbringer

1970년대 레드 제플린과 함께 브리티쉬 하드록의 양대 산맥으로 군림한 Deep Purple의 아홉번째 앨범 Stormbringer의 발매 35주년을 기념하여 새롭게 릴리스된 2009 New Remaster CD+DVD 버전 (24 page extensive illustrated booklet 포함). 본 앨범은 전작 Burn에서 새롭게 등장한 David Coverdale과 Glen Hughes의 소울풀한 어법이 구체화 된 작품으로 계시적인 동명 타이틀 곡 Stormbringer, 맹렬한 Lady Double Dealer, 한국인의 영원한 애창곡 Soldier Of Fortune 등을 비롯해 Love Don't Mean a Thing, The Gypsy 등 명곡들이 가득하다.
한편 본 35주년 발매반은 오리지널 LP의 리마스터 버젼과 함께 4곡의 글렌 휴즈 리믹스 버전, 싱글 High Ball Shooter의 인스트루멘틀 버전이 보너스로 수록되어 있다. 더불어 보너스 DVD에는 앨범 전체가 5.1 서라운드 및 PCM 스테레오 포맷 등 고음질 음원로 새롭게 믹싱된 1974년 오리지널 쿼드 LP 믹스 버젼이 수록되어 있다. 앨범을 다양한 분위기로 감상할 수 있어 팬들에게는 새로운 느낌을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 또한 함께 제공되는 24p의 확장 부클릿 역시 정성스럽게 제작되어 있어 딥 퍼플의 팬들에게는 소장가치를 높여주는 디럭스 에디션으로 손색없다.
